40 Year Old Virgin

Okay, so I just watched 40 year old virgin and what did I think? I thought it was hilarious. Steve Carell did an amazing job of playing Andy Stitzer, the virgin. He was, I must say, the perfect man for the part. The movie wasn't just another Napoleon Dynamite as many thought it would be. Napolean Dynamite on the other hand, though quotable, was an entirely different genre of funny. But how was the virgin different from Napolean? Well,... Andy wan't practically retarded. He didn't have a friend named pedro. Didn't throw action figures out of bus windows for entertainment. Was, well, 40 years old. Didn't have a pet llama. Didn't dance.

When it comes down to it, it was nothing like Napolean Dynamite. I have no idea why people thought that there was something comparable between the two. This movie will have you laughing in the first minute! One thing that you should know about the movie, if you haven't seen it, is that the plot can easily be imagined from merely thinking about the title of the movie. 40 Year Old Virgin... so don't expect much drama, emotional inspirations.

On the other hand, what you should expect is crude comedy, brief nudity, a simple plot, and a freaking good time in your theatre seat. The humor is a mix between the movies "Stuck On You" and "Must Love Dogs." I definitely recommend this movie. If you like comedy and you haven't seen this movie, rush over to the nearest theatre and watch it right now, because every moment that you wait is time gone to waist.
